Dr. Brankica Janković obtained her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Biochemistry in 2016. As a part of her Ph.D. work, she studied cold stability and denaturation of proteins. After finishing her Ph.D. studies, she decided to move to Zürich and continue her research in the field of protein biochemistry and biophysics. Dr. Brankica Janković is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zürich, Department of Chemistry. She works in the group of Prof. Peter Hamm, who is known for his expertise in real-time spectroscopy. She is investigating protein-peptide interactions and allostery by designing photocontrollable proteins and peptides.
